Fans' desire for more 'Sex' kept movie project hot

It was the end of a long, exhausting day of movie-junket interviews, one of those days in which celebrities sit for up to eight hours in a claustrophobic hotel room that has been converted into a makeshift television studio to answer the same questions about themselves and their new movie from a procession of 80-100 interviewers from around the world. Sarah Jessica Parker, the producer and star of the movie version of "Sex and the City," and the film's writer and director Michael Patrick King rode together on the elevator down from the interview rooms.

Later, when Parker arrived at the New York City townhouse she shares with husband Matthew Broderick and their 5-year-old son, James Wilkie, the message light on her telephone was blinking. The message was from King, who apparently had recovered from the day of interviews.
