Bollywood gorgeous actress Kangana Ranaut has a scene without clothes in forthcoming film ‘Raaz- The Mystery Continues’.

Emraan Hashmi and Adhyayan are playing pivotal roles in the film and the film will hit the theatres on January 23, 2009.

It is said that the film is under the Censor Board scanner for an uncovered scene but the producer of the movie Mukesh Bhatt wants a U/A certificate.
It is learnt that after the screening of the film for Censor Board, an argument started between Mukesh Bhatt and some members regarding the certification.

A source reveals, “
Censor Board has said that they have asked Vishesh Films to cut Kangana’s undressed scene and after deletion of Kangana Ranaut’s scene, the film would still get an ‘A’ (Adults Only) certificate due to its highly mysterious content.”

He further added, “Kangana had done the shooting of the song by putting on a skin colored body suit. But the people may think that Kangana Ranaut in that is without clothes.”

It is time for another morality lesson, courtesy Madhur Bhandarkar, and unless you've been living under a rock with dark glasses on, the promos, articles and posters have let you know that this time the 'realistic' director's gaze has been trained on the morally corrupt world of Fashion.

The story is about one Meghna Mathur from Chandigarh, who harbours dreams of becoming a model, nay supermodel, after she wins a local beauty contest. She wants to leave her idyllic hometown lifestyle for dreamtown Mumbai's glitz and glamour. Though her father (Raj Babbar) expresses reservations, she heads out to live with a relative and chase her dreams of becoming a model.

Along the way, we encounter the clich�s that surround an up-and-coming model in her struggle to reach the top -- the gay friend who is also assistant to a famous designer; the teetering-off-the-rails star (Kangana Ranaut [Images]) whose place the leading lady will take someday; the good-hearted tough-chick model (Mugdha Godse) who will befriend our heroine and help her navigate through the treacherous underbelly of a struggling model's existence; the fellow struggler (Arjan Bawa) whom she will befriend, love and lose; the head of a modelling agency (Kitu Gidwani) who will give her a break and then help break her. And of course, the tycoon (Arbaaz Khan [Images]) who will enable her to achieve her dreams only to turn into her worst nightmare. Through it all, over a running time of nearly three hours, the manga-faced leading lady will strut, pout, pirouette and look like a holocaust survivor with the straightest hair in the world.

Does that sound like fun? No? Perhaps, that's because the storytelling team behind this opus somehow manages to make the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy feel like a short film in comparison. And they manage this by sucking out any genuine drama or possibility for empathizing with the lead character.

From her origins in Chandigarh to her scaling the heights of fashion achievement, it never seems like Meghna Mathur ever really struggles. Her hair and makeup when she is a small town girl are not that different from when she becomes the biggest name in fashion. Her clothes seem just as ambitious when she is a 'nobody' as when she turns into a 'somebody'. She leaves (or gets thrown out of) homes to have no trouble finding somebody else to put a roof over her head. She rides roughshod over those that treated her with kindness and they immediately forgive her when she shows the first half-hearted sign of being apologetic.

Of the three girls on the posters for this film, Kangana brings the right amount of derangement to her character of a girl on the edge, just waiting for someone to push her over. However, her character is little more than a series of hastily-penned clich�s and she is forced to mouth dialogue so trite there is no way she (or anyone else) could do justice to it. As long as she is acting physically, she is fine, especially in the much-ballyhooed 'wardrobe malfunction' scene, and the rest of it is probably not her fault alone.

Mugdha Godse, as Janet Sequeira, is a revelation. Dodgy dialogue delivery dogs her performance as well but she brings an easy comfort to her role as the street-savvy but far from cutthroat model. In the sacrifices she makes and the grace she exhibits under pressure, hers is one of the few characters in this movie that could earn some empathy from audiences.

Which brings us to Priyanka Chopra, the leading lady and the lynchpin of this whole exercise. Now either Ms Chopra has learnt a few new tricks (as far as performance goes) since her last few outings or she really is Meghna Mathur (temperament wise) and was relieved to finally be able to play herself on screen. I suspect the truth lies somewhere in between.

All those news items about the other girls feeling like they didn't get their due in the promotions for this movie, that is all nonsense. This is Priyanka Chopra's movie, through and through; she is probably on screen for at least 90 percent of the film's duration and though she makes the character believable, she never succeeds in helping us identify with her.

Fashion feels like a story that has been told by someone with minimal first-hand experience of the world. Sure there are anecdotal references (claims of design theft, the drugs, the promiscuity, the homosexuality, the incessant smoking and drinking), but it never feels like this is what it must really be like, behind the scenes in the fashion world. This is a work of fiction all right, and the fiction in this case is a loosely tied together, paint-by-numbers tale that purports to be an insightful look behind the gauze curtain.

In the final analysis, Fashion seems to be telling us that a driven, career-oriented woman is destined to be alone and suffer all manner of indignities if a good man (her father, her boyfriend, her friend's husband) isn't around to rescue her or to place her on the right path when she loses her way.

Tanushree Dutta: From sex symbol to girl next door

Warner Bros first foray into Bollywood, ‘Saas Bahu aur Sensex’ (Mother in law, daughter in law and the Indian stock exchange) is finally released in India and abroad this Friday. “It’s a different type of film, not your typical masala movie,” leading lady Tanushree Dutta informs me in predictable bolly-speak. Why did the major Hollywood studio choose this film as their maiden venture into Hindi cinema? Dutta enlightens me: “They saw something in the script that they liked.”

The former Miss Universe 2004 finalist is currently attempting to make inroads into Bollywood, with limited success. Dutta has a sex symbol image as a result of saucy roles in forgettable films with titles like ‘Goodboy Badboy’, ‘Speed’ and ‘Chocolate’. Is there any sex in the film? Dutta laughs: “There isn’t any sex in the film; it’s for the Indian family audience.” How does she feel about her racy image and past films? “I regard my sex symbol image as a compliment; I don’t regret being part of those films,” Dutta reveals. She adds: “Now I am playing the girl next door who has a strange relationship with her mother in this film.”

Dutta has been in the headlines recently for lambasting her directors, accusing a senior male co-star of indecent behaviour, denying rumours of an alleged secret marriage and there has been speculation regarding her sudden weight loss. How does she feel to be so controversial? She told a film magazine: “I read the gossip about me, laugh over it and want to say just one thing to those who write nasty stuff – use hotter pictures of me!”

A desperate move?
You must be kidding me! Me, getting desperate, and that too to see myself in a costume which is far less revealing than a swimming costume?
Come on, give me a break! If you do a search on internet, some of the first few images would have me in a swimsuit. For someone who wore a swimsuit way back in 1999 for Miss Universe pageant, I can only laugh at the insinuation that I am being desperate.

Now now now, I am not trying to be a 'born again' actress who suddenly decides to come out of a closet, leave her sari/salwar-suit behind and suddenly aim at becoming chic!
Chic, did she say?
Of course yes! Those close to me know me for what I am and I guess even the industry too has come to realize now that regardless of some of the arty roles I have done, I don't carry that garb with me in my personal life.
I am a hot, hip and a sexy chic and I am proud of that. In any case I have always worn Western outfits in real life as well.
So puhleeze, don't look at me with such a shocked expression on your face. I am not shocked, you shouldn't be surprised either!
Gul turns rebel?
I guess you aren't getting the point. See for me, what carries utmost importance is to do what I feel is right.
You may call me a rebel for driving a Royal Enfield, you may call me a rebel for driving a Formula I car, you may call me a rebel for running kilometers at stretch and if that's your definition of someone being a rebel then I am surprised that how could wearing a night costume be categorized as a rebellious act.
(Laughs) In any case, to curb the 'shock value' (the way you may want to term it), it's not as if suddenly I have walked out of my robes and emerged in a two piece bikini!
Capitalizing on sex quotient?
Of course yes! One should be capitalizing on what you are. In any case, after all it is show business and it doesn't harm to let people know the real you. If I am sexy and subtle, I want people to know that.
On a magazine cover, you get to see the real Gul; the lady who has a mind of her own. On camera, I would again be playing characters and that would have nothing to do with me wearing a swimsuit or showing cleavage. You can be a serious actor but be fun in real life!
Serious again?
A mix of everything in fact. See, I have had been part of films like Dor, Manorama Six Feet Under and Dhoop and I am extremely proud of them.
Similarly, I am proud of films like Hello and Hello Darling which would be seeing me in a glam look. It is only coincidental that these films are arriving in a bunch. And in the interim there is also this fun movie called Straight. So as you see, I continue to play the balancing game!
Expecting controversies?
Let them be if that's what keeps media happy! I am clear that if I had to generate controversies, I could have done so 4-5 years back when I just started out in movies.
I remember PR people coercing me at that time to come up with quotable quotes, do something outrageous, get some heat on; you know the works! I was at an initial stage of my career and could have done that to be in THE news.

If we go by the number of directors desirous of bringing the two together, it would seem Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are the hottest most saleable pair in moviedom today.

After seeing them together in Siddharth Anand's Bachna Ae Haseenon at least three big directors have decided to cast them together in their films and have in fact approached the pair with their projects.

Anees Bazmi (taking a break from Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif after Welcome and Singh Is Kinng), David Dhawan (getting away from his Govinda-Salman-Katrina-Lara comfort zone) and Raj Santoshi (who after working with Ranbir in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazak Kahani wants to take a longer break from his Ajay Devgan starrers) have all offered Ranbir-Deepika films.
But the pair is surprisingly reluctant to work together.
Says a source close to both Ranbir and Deepika, "They've definitely been offered films by Bazmi, Dhawan and Santoshi and are considering taking up at least one of these.
But Ranbir –Deepika are in no hurry to sign films together. Not after seeing what happened to Kareena and Shahid in all their films until their breakup and recently to Kareena and Saif in Tashan.
Ranbir-Deepika know the public gets satiated reading about real-life couples and seeing them constantly at events on television. The novelty factor is over.
Deepika would rather be seen with Saif in Imtiaz Ali's film and Ranbir with Katrina and Konkona in his forthcoming films rather than come together on screen repeatedly to entertain each other and bore the audience."

American actress Megan Fox has revealed that doing nude scenes is not really her cup of tea.

Even though Fox, 22, may seem to be free-spirited, she insists that having to do a number of nude scenes in her latest movie "Jennifer''s Body" was not enjoyable.

"I have a few love scenes. I eat and seduce everyone - boys and girls. There''s a lot of kissing and craziness. It was awkward, it''s always awkward and it''s never fun," Daily Telegraph quoted Fox as telling Fox news.

"Johnny Simmons and I got really close and became really good friends, so it was hard not to just laugh hysterically and endlessly.

It must be really impossible to make a comedy like that—no one else has been able to do it. Look how badly this one crumbles in its zealous effort. Every dialogue strives to make you laugh, every act tries too hard. By the end, you’re the one who’s tired.

Writer-director Sanjay Chhel (Khoobsoorat, Kyaa Dil Ne Kahaa) says in an interview that his film is “on the lines of” Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron. But it’s more like a replication. Maan Gaye replaces the Mahabharata dramatisation and in comes the Mughal-E-Azam story.

If you remember well, the original’s hilarious climax also incorporated the Anarkali-Salim love story. Other similarities include the theatre set-up, goofy antics on stage, and even a corpse (parked on skates here) makes a fleeting appearance. Come to think of it, even the two titles have an uncannily similar ring to it.

The story starts and we’re introduced to Kalakar Theatre Company that’s staging a cheesy, rabble-rousing play called India Jaago. Paresh Rawal plays the earnest actor Uday Shankar Mazumdar, who’s nuts about his actress wife Shabnam (Mallika Sherawat) and suspicious of other men eying her. Young, beautiful Shabnam wants to become a film heroine and find new romance. The play comes under fire from the local Goa police and under duress, they have to stage their old Salim-Anarkali love yarn.

Poor Uday Shankar must compete with a new admirer, a young chap (Rahul Bose) who’s a RAW agent. He’s arrived in the city to prevent a don (Dawood caricature as usual) from masterminding the serial Bombay blasts (the film is set in `93). In doing so—the play, the love triangle, extraneous characters like a local bhai and a ghazal singer who’s supporting the “jihad”—all get mixed up.

For ‘laughs’ you have the actor playing Salim saying in Dilip-Kumar style: “takhliyan” and then “fuck off” (non-beeped). Other dialogues go like this: one character says baal baal bach gaye. The other who’s wearing false hair says: wig wig bach gaye. Prince Salim chortles: Anaru, I am your kangaroo. Sherawat is referred to as “item” throughout.

Other chaotic scenes have Rahul Bose’s character in a suit, on stage by accident, hiding his face with costume armour. In another scene, Anarkali’s lost contact lens has all the actors down on their knees looking for it… while the play continues. These stretched situations are broken by songs, each looking identical.

Paresh Rawal is so genuinely and impossibly funny—those are the only portions you really enjoy. Mallika Sherawat is in top form as in Ugly Aur Pagli. Like in the former, she does that blowing-hair-off-her-forehead routine. Rahul Bose looks dishy and does surprisingly well in the comic scenes. One wonders why he didn’t give commercial films a thought much earlier. Kay Kay Menon is dependably good. All the other actors—a talented bunch—are monumentally wasted.

Himesh makes a ‘hatless’ show in ‘Karzzz’ promo

New Delhi, Aug 18: Himesh Reshammiya, the singer, composer and actor, is all set to sway the crowds with his ‘hatless’ look in the upcoming Bollywood flick ‘Karzzz’. Going by the looks of the promo of the movie, Himesh has gone for a complete makeover this time, and the visibly leaner actor is even flaunting a more ‘in’ hairstyle (this could be figured easily as the promo flaunts his ‘Himesh-sans-cap’ look!)

Himesh is working hard to gather due credit for ‘Karzzz’, for he is the actor-composer-singer, in the movie. The promo has used all the new-age editing effects, and is almost on the verge of putting Reshamiya on the league of international singer-actors who act, compose and sing in their movies.

The movie is a remake of 1980, Rishi Kapoor starrer ‘Karz’, and the crooner will have to do justice to the example set by the veteran actor. He will serenade Urmila Matondkar, and debutante Shweta Kumar in the reincarnation-themed flick. This theme was quite popular in the 80s, and Rishi Kapoor had quite mastered the ‘lost-memory’ expression, but it will be touched upon after a long hiatus in contemporary Bollywood.

Let’s see if we find Himesh up to par to carry the weight of expectations his role has set on him. Whatever the outcome, ‘Karzzz’ will surely give the producer his due, for people do go to watch Himesh belt out his nasal numbers – loving him or hating him! What’s more, Himesh will even get to do some high-octane action sequence in this masala-movie!

You may just get hooked

You know the best thing about these reality shows? They beg you to be judgmental. They go out of their way to grab your attention, have an opinion, however harsh, about them. Even if briefly, it puts the viewer in a powerful spot.The ones out to seek attention aren't doing it for charity either. They make their own money, an attractive amount too.And so whether you enjoy it, feel apathetic or plain disgusted, reality TV, for the time being is here to stay. Welcome to yet another show and its star-anchor. This time it is Shilpa Shetty [Images]. After what Big Brother did for her career, she has every reason to promote the cause, as the glamorous hostess of the second season of Big Boss.

The series, which kick-started Sunday on Colors, had a perky Ms Shetty in a flashy red sari, announcing its 14 participants to the viewers. Sorry guys, no Sherlyn Chopra [Images] or Mithun Chakravarthy on board. Coming back to Shilpa, she isn't half bad. Despite a hideous sari, her confidence remains intact as she excitedly takes you inside the spacious yet strictly functional albeit claustrophobic Big Boss house or playfully introduces the anxious contestants.

Often that constant smirk on her face appears to be mocking the unsuspecting participants with a 'Been there, done that. Your turn now!' If only, she wouldn't keep repeating, 'I am luvin' it'. It might make McDonalds happy but it gets annoyingly tiresome after a while.The idea is simple. Fourteen folks, thrown in together, forced to co-exist and perform assigned tasks for 84 days with the camera, 32 of them, documenting each and every move. If you enjoyed Ravi Kisshen's gyaan and Rakhi Sawant's drama queen act in the first season, chances are you may get hooked on second time as well.

Shilpa Shetty, winner of last season's reality series, Big Brother UK, has been roped in to host the Indian version of the show -- Big Boss season 2.

Rajul Hegde caught up with her to know more. Excerpts:

What made you decide to host this show?

The reason I agreed to do Big Boss 2 is because I was familiar with the format. It makes it easier for me to empathise with the housemates. I will be the only connection between them and the outside world. I am sure it is not going to be easy for them and I wish them good luck. I am looking forward to be part of this show.

Do you feel that before entering this show, the contestants should take up some sort of relaxation course to keep their mind fresh and calm?

Firstly, those who actually take part in this show will not have anything to hide. Secondly, they are confident of themselves and want to be famous overnight.

When I joined Big Brother I went with the mindset that I have nothing to fear as this was not my first time before the camera. Despite that, I thought I would be out in the first week. Being in Big Brother teaches you a lot. There are lot of highs and lows. And it's a learning curve and viewers will really know everything about you in this show. That is why reality shows really work on television. It's a great form of entertainment at other people cost.(laughs)

Now that Karan Johar has confirmed plans for the release of his Dostana (the film is all set to arrive on 14th November), it has paved way for a pertinent question to be asked. Will Harman Baweja's VICTORY move ahead in order to avoid a clash with Priyanka starrer Dostana?
There are a couple of reasons which lead to this question.
First and foremost being the 'good friendship' being shared between Harman and Priyanka. Frankly, the two 'friends' won't really be looking forward to their own films clashing with each other at the box office.
Of course it is a professional world out there but when it comes to the matters of heart, it only makes sense that the respective films of Harman and Priyanka keep a safe distance from each other.

They have burnt their fingers already with the much hyped debut launch of Harman getting severely impacted due to presence of some mighty competition which goes by the name of Aamir Khan.

With debutant director Ajit Pal at the helm of affairs and Amrita Rao as the leading lady opposite Harman, on the paper VICTORY certainly doesn't look like posing a challenge to Dostana.

"Forgetting Sarah Marshall" made its debut at number two with US and Canadian takings of 17.3 million dollars. The film featuring British comedian Russell Brand bills itself as "the world's first romantic disaster comedy."

Teen slasher flick "Prom Night," a remake of a 1980 horror film, earned 9.1 million dollars to take third spot after topping the charts on its debut last weekend.

Another entrant, "88 Minutes," was fourth with takings of 6.8 million, despite a critical mauling for Oscar-winner Al Pacino's turn as a college professor and part-time FBI psychiatrist hunting down a killer.

"And why not?" Emraan argues happily. "Equations change every Friday. The sun has started shining for me. I seem to have had a solo hit at a time when only Akshay Kumar and the Khans seem to be getting the audiences in," he said.

Emraan has even backed out of a film that Warner Brothers was to produce in association with Tandav Films (of 'Khosla Ka Ghosla'). Here Emraan gets evasive. "I wouldn't like to comment on which project I backed out. But yes, we were in serious negotiation. I only had to sign the contract. But as is the rule in the entertainment industry, they were waiting to see how 'Jannat' would perform. But now the ball is in my court. Since I'm in a negotiable position now, why should I sign the film at a price I was supposed to? They were playing the wait-and-watch game. Now that they've watched it's my turn."

Emraan says his price also goes up for his mentors the Bhatts. "I haven't spoken to them about my price now that 'Jannat' has done so well. But they've always been very fair as far as the price goes. We share a professional relationship first, we're relatives later. Eventually, the film stands on its own, no matter who makes it. I only sign Bhatt Saab's films when I'm convinced about them. Emraan says he was always getting offers outside the Bhatt camp. "But yes after 'Jannat' the offers from outside are better. This is probably the best time as an actor for me." His next release is 'Raaz 2'. "Like 'Jannat' and the earlier films that I've done with Bhatt Saab, it tries something different. No one wants to touch the horror genre. It hasn't been explored sufficiently except in the first part of 'Raaz' which came five years ago. I've again done the unexpected in 'Raaz 2'. I feel the different will always work. I guess the same applies to me as an actor. I always go for the unconventional roles."

Strangely, Emraan has always been working with new leading ladies. "I don't see that as a burden. I think the audience wants to see me with new heroines and yes, I did kiss my heroine in 'Jannat' too, though this time it was more furtive than torrid. If the director feels the kiss has to be shown, I won't object to a kiss in future too."

Says Emraan, "We were warned not to release 'Jannat' with the IPL. Biggies like 'Tashan' and 'Paachvi Paas' on TV had failed. I was very confident about 'Jannat'. We got a phenomenal opening. The collections have only been going up. Eventually, a film stands on its own, and the promos helped. The past one year was really tough on me. If 'Jannat' didn't work I'd been really frustrated. I was bitter and angry. So 'Jannat' was a do or die project for me. If it failed I had told myself nothing else will work."

I wondered how long would he sit in the theatre, since we were watching Ajay Devgan’s romantic love story, U, Me aur Hum. He has walked out in the past of several such films and come interval, the look on his face was no different. Nothing special and after some time she look at my face, he again subsided on his seat, doing yet another “favour” for me... Some 15 minutes into the second half, there is a hush quality in the theatre.
Questions that need to be answered, feelings that you don’t want to feel, emotions that rise to the fore and you are surrounded by it all... The dolby system reverberating inside the packed theatre has caught everybody in its spell as the visuals unfold.It was a world that was created by an uptown girl of a filmi khandaan when she married a suburban guy from the working class of the film industry. It was the story of a princess of Bollywood with the biggest hits under her belt marrying a man who had not yet established his credentials in the industry.

Now onto the story:
Captain Jawed Khan (Deepak Dobriyal) is about to be court martial led for shooting his senior officer Major Rathod at point blank range. Enter army lawyers & best buddies Major Aakash Kapoor (Javed Jaffrey) and Major Siddhant Chaudhry (Rahul Bose) who are called in to deal with what looks like an open and shut case. Until Siddhanth realises that Captain Jawed is NOT GUILTY, after meeting raging journalist Kavya Shastri (Minissha Lamba) & the ruthlessly authoritative Brigadier Pratap (Kay Kay Menon).
Considering Samar Khan's inspiration is the immensely powerful A Few Good Men, he already has a decent plot and screenplay going. However, it's the performances of the key players like Rahul Bose, Kay Kay Menon & especially Deepak Dobriyal as Captainn Jawed that succeed in uplifting this film. The dialogues are effective and so is the camerawork.
Shaurya may not make you get up from your seat and applaud, but without shouting out loud, it certainly provokes us to rethink the way we choose to deal with injustice in present times. The E NOW WEEKEND rating for this well intentioned piece of drama is three stars.

According to a press release, Bollywood sex-kitten Mallika Sherawat , is playing the role of a CIA agent in Dasavatharam . So join them at your own risk. In Abbas-Mustan’s terribly sleek thrillers, the glamorous characters are fatally flawed. The women specially pull out all stops when it comes to realizing their ambitions and tapping into those areas of their conscience that are conventionally considered taboo for women.
In “Aitraaz”, we had Priyanka Chopra lusting after her employee under her husband’s nose. In “Humraaz”, Amisha Patel plotted with lover-boy Akshaye Khanna to marry and disinherit hubby Bobby Deol. And of course in “Baazigar” Shah Rukh Khan threw Shilpa down a high-rise without a second thud. In “Race” too Bipasha pushes one of the heroes down a high-rise. Though telling which would be a ‘dead’ giveaway. If you know what I mean.
Suffice it to say money continues to be the main motivation for making the Abbas-Mustan’s characters’ world go round and wrong. The four main characters sparkle sartorially like walking-talking endorsements for botox and boutiques.
Full marks to stylist Anaita Adajania for making the attractive star-cast look ready ripe and riveting.
But yes, it’s been a while in Bollywood since the heroes chased cars more vigorously than skirts. Despite the presence of three sensuous ladies, “Race” is a very boys-night-out kind of thriller. Skidding wheels compete with Pritam’s high-octave dance numbers to create a beguiling blend of the bowled and the bountiful.
Every one of the four main characters could be a wolf in disguise. The chic script plays an amusing cat-and-mouse game with the audiences’ perceptions, shifting the needle of suspicion from one to the other character with numbing velocity until you just give up and go with the ‘flaw’.
Editor Hussain Burmanwallah doesn’t spare the material. Even the coolly -choreographed dance numbers are driven by a demoniacal desperation to beat the clock.
Everyone, the editor included, is shown running out of time as the two brothers Akshaye Khanna (robust and enjoying his part of the money machine) and Saif Ali Khan (scowling in transparent disdain) race to the finishing line.
Mid way, Anil Kapoor talking fast and furiously enters with dumb assistant Sameera Reddy to do an encore of Pankaj Kapoor and Sushmita Mukherjee from the zany detective serial “Karamchand”.
Ah, a touch of historicity in a tale where people live for the present only. Karamchand” chewed on carrots. His modern day avatar chews on every seasonal fruit in pursuit of a phal-proof plan to nab the culprits. We chew on Abbas-Mustan’s inverted morality tale where the bad have all the fun. A case has been registered against her at the Versova police station in Mumbai for allegedly hitting her driver.
The complaint was filed by her driver, Rajesh Shah, who accused her of slapping him while she was on her way for a shoot. Apparently, Kangana was accompanied by her sister Rangoli at the time of the incident.
Apparently, the actress struck Shah because she was unhappy with the way he had been driving since months.
The driver has also alleged that he got death threats from Kangana's sister over the phone after the incident. He also said that this was not the first time that he has been sat the receiving end of Kangana's behaviour.

Spears' downward spiral took another twist when a court commissioner ordered the 25-year-old, one-time princess of pop music to undergo random drug and alcohol testing twice a week as part of a child custody dispute with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

The ruling could not come at a worse time professionally for Spears, who is trying to recover from a series of image-crippling events that include a bizarre head-shaving incident in February (captured by paparazzi photographers) to her widely ridiculed performance earlier this month at MTV's Video Music Awards.

Now, a judge has intervened and told Spears to clean up her act, which he said includes evidence of "habitual, frequent and continuous use of controlled substances and alcohol."

The question is, does the order come soon enough, and is it strong enough, to keep Spears from losing custody of her two young sons to ex-husband Federline.

"If she were to violate the order, she would be really stupid," said Lynne Gold-Bikin, a family law attorney in Pennsylvania and former chair of the American Bar Association Family Law Section. "Reading between the lines, I think the judge is saying, 'I think you can stop it, pull yourself back.'"

Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon, who issued his order on Monday, required both Spears and Federline to refrain from drinking or using drugs either in the presence of their children or within 12 hours before taking charge of them.

He also ordered Spears, but not Federline, to undergo random drug and alcohol testing twice a week, according to court documents.

Absent from the order was a requirement that Spears undergo rehabilitation and substance abuse counselling, possibly indicating that her problem isn't severe enough to affect her parenting skills. Without that provision, however, experts say Spears may be bound to fail.

"People tend to backslide in those situations, and once you get into habits and patterns, it's tough to change," said University of Southern California sociologist Julie Albright. "The stakes have been set very high for a relapse."Source : UK PRESS

Pop songstress Shakira won six awards and reggaeton pacesetter Daddy Yankee took home three at the Billboard Latin Music Awards on Thursday night.
Shakira's album "Fijacion Oral Vol. 1" (Oral Fixation Vol. 1), which was released in both Spanish and English, won female Latin pop album of the year.

The album's top song, a sexy duet with Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz called "La Tortura" (The Torture), won four other awards, including hot Latin song of the year.
The Colombian-Lebanese crossover star's voice was nearly drowned out by the cheering audience when she received the award for female Latin pop album.
"Wow. Thank you. This is for all of you, my fans, who have been accompanying me, understanding and protecting me all these years," she said.
Later, Shakira, wearing a sparkling blue bikini top and red-and-white skirt, unleashed her trademark hip-wiggle as she danced and sang alongside Wyclef Jean on their pulsing collaboration "Hips Don't Lie."
The performance kept with the theme of these awards over the years: mix Latin acts with performances with crossover appeal.
